Barber shops and beauty salons are reopened across the country  in keeping with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health with services on offer restricted to  cutting , trimming hair, dyeing of hair, manicures, and pedicures, and waxing of arms and legs.

The Ministry of Health allowed the opening of salons  with strict conditions with each salon  having to obtain a certificate from the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) of each   area  after conforming  to a checklist for opening of barber shops/salons.

The Certificate of Commencement must be on display in each salon/barber shop.

The sector has been  hard hit by the coronavirus with  around 200,00 workers with no income for more than two months.
