A year after hundreds of lives were lost and many others maimed in the carnage caused by the terrorist attacks on Easter Day 2019, Christian devotees joined church services aired on television from their living rooms as the country grapples with another crisis, this time the spread of the corona virus.

Members  of the Christian  clergy conducted church services to largely empty aisles as people stayed home in keeping with government regulations  to avoid large gatherings as part of the efforts to curtail the spread of COVID-19.

At the St. Anthony’s Church in Kochchikade where nearly 100 were killed in  the suicide bombings,  a lone soldier stood guard   with little sign of the heartbreaking scenes that greeted a shocked country and world  on Easter Day , 2019.
