The country remembered the victims of last year’s Easter Day terror attacks today with low key commemorations as the country grapples with the coronavirus.

At the St. Anthony’s church in Kochchikade, one of the three churches devastated by the suicide bombers, a few devotees stood outside praying in memory of their loved ones.

At 8.45 a.m., the time of the first suicide bombings, people lit candles and lamps in their homes while church and temple bells pealed in remembrance of the victims of the attacks.
