As the island wide curfew was relaxed for the first time in nearly two-month, people were seen going about their daily activities while taking precautions in keeping with the advice given by health authorities.
While the curfew will be relaxed each day between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m. , health authorities have adviced members of the public to adhere to the guidelines to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
These guidelines include disinfection, wearing face masks, washing hands from time to time and maintaining social distancing.
Heads of state and private sector entities are free to decide on the number and categories of workers to be called for work in consideration of the nature of the services they provide and health guidelines.
Traveling between districts except in the two districts of Colombo and Gampaha will be permitted from today.
