Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Thailand Samantha K. Jayasuriya met the Ambassador of Cambodia to Thailand Ouk Sorphorn this week to convey a message of felicitations from Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Relations  Ravinatha Aryasinha  to his counterpart Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ouch Borith , as the two countries celebrated  the   68th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and Cambodia.

The two Ambassadors exchanged greetings on the occasion while recalling the long-standing traditional relations between the two countries based on the bedrock of Theravada Buddhism.

The   two Ambassadors also exchanged views on opportunities to work together to promote Buddhist trail tourism and trade between the two countries.

The Sri Lankan Ambassador offered a basket of Sri Lankan products including the famous Ceylon tea and cinnamon to the Cambodian Ambassador. Head of Chancery Poornima Gunasekera accompanied Ambassador Jayasuriya while Tan Pheary, Second Secretary and Heng Sovannarith, Commercial Attaché were associated with Ambassador Sorphorn.
