The Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive Wing  of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF)  carried out a program to disinfect the Gangaramaya Temple in Colombo ahead of Vesak Poya which falls tomorrow.

The temple plans to  distribute 6000 cooked meal packets on Vesak Poya Day with Air Force personnel assisting in the preparation of  meals.

Members of a specialized SLAF team took part in program 

A  special team conducted the operation to disinfect the entire temple premises before the start of the preparation of meals.

The seven  member team led by Pilot Officer SKS Rukshan conducted the disinfection operation on the instructions of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias, SLAF said in a press release.
